Position Summary


Have proficient knowledge of all Inspector and Senior Inspector requirements. Assist Account and Operations Managers with project management, account development, and driving customer satisfaction. Train inspectors on the job to meet position and job requirements. Work with management to develop new and existing customer relationships.




Position Responsibilities


  • Drive customer service through regular customer interaction and escalating opportunities for improvement in a timely manner.

  • Develop or improve standardized work instructions to support both customer and supplier inspections including quotes

  • Understand and meet customer production, quality, and delivery time expectations

  • Read, comprehend, and apply written work instruction

  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects

  • Verify and correct project documentation

  • Perform layered audits (People, parts, process, paperwork, protection)

  • Supervise to ensure compliance with Sustained Quality and client policies and procedures

  • Maintain adequate project staffing levels

  • Have capability to evaluate all support staff for efficiency, accuracy, competence of duty and make recommendations to Sr. staff for worker retention and promotability

  • Recommend disciplinary actions to upper management

  • Assist with problem solving customer complaints using 8 Disciplines methodology

  • Ensure key performance indicator data is collected and submitted in a thorough and timely manner

  • Assist Assistant Operations Manager in recommending and driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve KPI trends

  • Obtain and submit client billing information in a timely manner, as needed

  • Ensure project tools and equipment are available and in good working condition

  • Recommend tools and equipment replacement, as needed

  • Assist with developing and implementing Senior Inspector and Inspector training

  • Manage project operational costs

  • Ensure compliance with safety and ergonomic policies and procedures

  • Assist with Safety Alert completion as needed and drive safety / ergonomic initiatives.

  • Available to work on multiple shifts

  • Capable of working with minimum supervision

  • Travel to project locations, as needed

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Ability to work overtime with minimal notice

  • Complete supervisor training

  • Valid driver’s license

  • Reliable transportation

  • All other duties, as assigned

  • Contacts staffing firms regarding performance issues with staffing associates and/or to request changes in staffing levels.

  • Keep upper management informed of any problems, issues, and/or concerns.

  • Capable of working with minimum supervision

  • Travel to project locations, as needed

  • Excellent oral and written communication

  • Ability to work overtime with minimal notice

  • All other duties, as assigned

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)

  • Technical Degree or Vocational Training (desired but not required)

  • Prior manufacturing or inspection experience (Preferred)

  • Prior leadership (supervision, management) experience (Preferred)

  • One year minimum experience in manufacturing and/or quality (Preferred)

  • Basic computer skills using MS Office and email (Required)

  • Background checks and/or drug tests may be required

  • Motor Vehicle Report may be required per company policy



Position Qualifications - KSA (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)




Physical Requirements and Work Environment


Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and manipulate weights of 10 – 50 pounds for extended periods of time. Hand/eye coordination with arm/hand/finger dexterity including the ability to grasp with visual acuity. Corrected 20/20 vision with no color blindness. Able to pass a criminal background check and initial and subsequent drug screenings.
