Amentum is seeking a Technical Writer/Administrative Support position at the DOE National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL) in Morgantown, WV. This will involve working closely with federal and contract; researchers, site technicians, engineers, and ES&H professionals. The candidate must be energetic with good interpersonal and team building skills and be able to function independently with moderate supervision.

The following is a list required functions for this position.

Develop and maintain databases to include training documentation, equipment inventories, and purchasing tracking.

Conduct technical writing reviews, updates, and revisions to directives, procedures, manuals and forms.

Generate weekly and monthly operations reports and other technical documents by reformatting, proofreading, and coordinating with report contributors.

Review programmatic documentation for technical accuracy.

Provide support to enter identified items into a corrective action tracking systems (CATS); conduct system audits at set intervals to ensure remedies are deployed; provide training on the system and processes to users.

Develop reports that track corrective actions to completion; and other reports as requested by the customer;

Enter injury/illness information into the Computerized Accident/Incident Reporting System (CAIRS).

Verify accurate documentation is provided for processing employee expense reports.

Assist in the development and maintenance of methods for tracking changes in operations, processes, databases, and inventories.

Coordinate the scheduling of meetings; dissemination of presentations, correspondence, and documentation.

Other administrative duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field and at least on year of job related experience.

The ability to perform operation of application software including word-processing, spreadsheet programs, and proprietary databases.

Ability to prepare, read and interpret complex information regarding technical matters; ability to review programmatic documentation for technical accuracy

Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred Requirements

Bachelors Degree and at least three years of job related experience.
