Job description
The Temporary Human Resource Assistant will be working under the direction of the Human Resource Director performing administrative tasks and a range of human resources functions. This is not a remote position.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
- Compile paper employee documents and scanning them into electronic personnel files.
- Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc., refers more complex questions to appropriate HR staff.
- Assists with the recruitment process, setting up interviews, putting together interview packets
- Provides clerical support to the HR department.
- Performs related work as required.
EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Human Resource experience preferred.
- Office experience perferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn human resource information system (HRIS)
- Demonstrated ability to learn, follow and help refine procedures with minimal oversight
- Self-starter with willingness to expand expertise and skill base
