Job Summary:

Under the supervision of the Administrator, the transportation driver will provide transportation for residents in the center van or accompany accompany them with a third party provider to their medical appointments and activities. Nurse Aide certification is required as this individual may be required to perform non-professional, direct resident care duties. This position will assist in maintaining a positive physical and psychosocial environment for the residents. This includes assisting residents with activities of daily living, recreation programs and eating, as needed.

Qualifications:

Must have training or certification as required by the state.

Must have clean driving record.

Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and work cooperatively with other employees.

Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.

Related administrative experience and/or experience as CNA or Nurse at a level necessary to accomplish the job.

Physical and Sensory Requirements (with or without the aid of mechanical devices): Walking, reaching, bending, lifting, grasping, fine hand coordination, pushing and pulling; ability to hear and respond to pages; ability to distinguish smells, tastes and temperatures, ability to read and write, ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions and directions; ability to communicate with residents, families, personnel, vendors, and consultants; ability to remain calm under stress.

Must meet all local health regulations, and successfully complete a post-offer health assessment.Must be capable of performing the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
