My Pets Wellness has an immediate opening for an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our growing team in beautiful Daytona Beach, Florida! We have Three locations in the Daytona area that comprise our network of clinics:

• Daytona Beach - 600 Mason Ave, Daytona Beach, FL 32117
• Ormond Beach - 1185 W Granada Blvd Unit 6, Ormond Beach, FL 32174
• Port Orange - 1812 Dunlawton Ave STE 104, Port Orange, FL 32127

Accountabilities:

• Assist veterinarian in appointments — patient restraint, obtain patient history, etc.
• Record patient vital signs.
• Administer medications (oral, IM, IV, etc.) and other patient treatments.
• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters.
• Obtain patient radiographs (Dental and Non-Dental).
• Perform in-house laboratory tests — CBC and blood chemistry, urinalysis, ear, and skin cytology.
• Induce and monitor anesthesia.
• Perform canine and feline dental cleanings.
• Educate clients about various aspects of animal health.
• Maintain patient records using EzyVet practice management software.
• Administrative tasks — client communication, making appointments, and taking payments.

Additional accountabilities, as required:

• Ensure all surgical equipment is properly cleaned, sterilized, and stored.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient files and updated plan of care.
• Able to effectively communicate updates and direct new product rollouts and/ or SOPs.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience as a veterinary technician working in small animal medicine/surgery.
• Experience assisting doctors with dental procedures including monitoring vitals, performing routine cleanings independently, and obtaining dental radiographs preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills required.
• Knowledge of modern veterinary medicine and the ability to assist with surgical procedures.
