Our client is looking for an experienced, fun, and energetic full-time Lead VPK/PreK Teacher for their premier preschool in Winter Garden, FL. The start date for this position is August 4, 2023 to align with the new school year. Job Responsibilities
· Planning and delivering age-appropriate lessons using the Frogstreet PreK Curriculum.
· Designing an appropriate room arrangement to support the goals and developmental level of the children in the class.
· Understanding and implementing, when necessary, emergency procedures.
· Understanding children are never to be left unattended.
· Adapting program activities to meet the individual needs of the children making available a variety of developmentally appropriate materials.
· Creating an inclusive environment.
· Understanding and adhering to discipline policies.
· Planning and implementing activities that develop self-esteem and social skills that enable a child to feel secure.
· Encouraging, through positive modeling, feelings of empathy and respect for others and the environment.
· Communicating appropriately and professionally with parents and other staff members and attending staff meetings and conferences.
· Encouraging families to be part of the child’s learning experience and providing opportunities for conferences.
· Observing, recording, and testing the children using state approved resources
· Maintaining accurate attendance records.
Qualifications
· CDA, AA, or BA in ECE or related field required
· DCF 45-hour Certification required
· VPK Instructor Emergent Literacy courses must be completed
· At least 1-year of PreK/VPK experience in a licensed facility required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
