*** THIS IS AN OVERNIGHT/RESIDENTIAL POSITION MONDAY-FRIDAY THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER CAMP SEASON ***

Waterfront Specialist – The Waterfront Specialist works alongside the Recreation Coordinator/Aquatics Director to ensure safety during waterfront activities at both the pool and lake. Waterfront activities include but are not limited to: swimming, water aerobics, canoeing, and kayaking. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to: creating and maintaining a weekly camper seizure list; participating in/facilitating in-service trainings; maintaining accurate pool logs; maintaining all equipment, materials, safety and standards. Experience in lifeguarding, waterfront, canoeing, kayaking is a plus.

Activity Specialists work within an 8-member team. When not working the waterfront, this position works with the team to fulfill the operational needs of the camp – setup of activities, cleaning, general maintenance, etc.

Qualifications: 18 years old & high school diploma or GED. Current lifeguard certification (Starguard preferred).
Must be able to begin working May 15, 2023. Work weeks begin Monday mornings at 7:30 am and end Fridays by 1:00 pm. The pay rate is $489/week ($4,890.00 for the 10-week season).

Camp Spearhead began in 1968 to provide recreation for children and adults with disabilities. Summer camp allows the opportunity to nurture friendships, maintain socialization skills and provide respite for families.
