About this Position:
This position is responsible for 3 major areas, as well as ad hoc projects:
- Transportation Cost Forecast and analysis – This involves forecasting a budget of over $800M a year to provide to the Finance department. The analyst is responsible for publishing the monthly Transportation Cost, act as liaison with the Finance and ISD Groups, perform analysis, and present results to Management.
- Network Optimization – Perform routing cost analysis base on understanding of the North American supply chain and provide management with routing recommendation taking into account cost, performance, and lead times.
- Systems Integration – Understand how the different systems impact logistics and interact with each other to be able to identify problems and work with IT to resolve issues.
Responsibilities include:
- In-depth understanding of forecasting fundamentals and requirements
- Preparing financial reports, calculating, and determining the accuracy of financial data
- Very strong analytical capabilities to be able to identify key cost drivers, in a multi-dimensional, multi-system environment
- Financial forecasting, reporting, & operational metrics tracking, variance analysis & cost analysis, providing detailed insights to executive management and finance for future strategies
- Interpreting data, identifying trends, and calculating
- Understanding of systems interaction to be able to detect and trouble shoot problems
- Knowledge of financial statements and the impact of our transportation cost on AHM’s financials
- Understanding of the North America supply chain and strong analytical skills. A strong candidate can make a big impact in transportation cost savings of millions of dollars per year for AHM
- Provide assistance for department wide reporting requests using Business Objects to perform various queries and reports
- Modeling through VBA, Tableau, Power BI, SQL, Data Visualization and Business Intelligence
- Assist department with technical requests, training, and software implementation
Who we are seeking:
Required Work Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in financial forecasting, preferably with automotive logistics
- High experience level in Microsoft Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint, business objects
- Experience in modeling
- Highly analytical
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Logistics Transportation, or equivalent work experience

Total Rewards:
- Competitive Base Salary: $77,800 - $116,700
- Pay will be based on several variables that include, but not limited to, geographic location, work experience, education, etc.
