This position is full-time, non-exempt working approximately 40 hours per week. Overtime may be available.
Basic Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician assists with the preventive maintenance, repair, and upkeep of all Easterseals Rehabilitation Center facilities including grounds keeping, vehicle maintenance, and carpentry work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client, employee, and company information.
- Work closely with the Maintenance Coordinator to ensure completion of work.
- Ability to do carpentry work, concrete work, drywall work, roofing, plumbing, painting, and minor electrical work.
- Operate Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, Inc vehicles as needed.
- Operate equipment as needed.
- Address the maintenance and repair on Easterseals Rehabilitation Center, Inc. vehicles as needed.
- Arrange and move furniture and equipment as requested.
- Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to work extended hours outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees and the public
- Attend mandatory in-services including universal precautions in order to safely clean blood and body fluid spills. Also, attend training on the safe operation of equipment and safe use of chemicals.
Qualifications:
Required:
- You must be at least 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma/GED
- A valid driver’s license & proof of car insurance.
- Excellent communication skills
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
- Pass a physical, TB, drug screen, and background checks
