Key Responsibilities
In short you are responsible in Managing commercial jobs and grow the department.
- Manage Crew Leaders
- Create project schedule, timeline, and budget
- Oversee several jobs at one time
- Manage project to completion
- Network and build relationships with centers of influence
- Negotiate terms and set expectations with customers and clients
- Review all job paperwork (scope, estimate, job diary, and work orders) to ensure staff is ready to do the job efficiently and within compliance
The PM will be able to properly plan projects, scheduling and coordination with Shop Lead and Estimator; Review submittals for accuracy and compliancy; Identifying potential change orders; Customer relations; Conduct weekly safety meetings; Attend cost/job reviews; perform material take-offs, ordering of tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize productivity; Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress; Ensure all on-site employees comply with Safety standards & Company’s work rules; Monitor job cost reviews and prepare time sheets and two week look a heads; Assist the TEAM to bring the job in from A to Z on time and within budget.
Requirements:
- 2 years’ experience specific to construction.
- Must possess a current valid driver s license.
- Flexibility for local travel and working overtime/weekends, as required.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Able to work hand in hand with engineers, architects, and other project managers.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues and construction obstructions.
- Will be professional, clean appearance, and honor drug-free workplace.
- Must possess common knowledge of the commercial industry.
- Ability to work and communicate effectively, individually as well as in a team environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
