JOB SUMMARY:

Securitas is currently seeking a Senior Desktop Engineer (Level 3) who will be accountable for client support requests and managed endpoints in Active Directory, Azure Active Directory and SCCM. Other responsibilities include assisting with project tasks to include Windows Operating System upgrades, PC imaging and software distribution.

In the event of uncertainty or lack of knowledge of company policies and procedures, associates are required to request clarification or explanations from superiors or authorized company representatives.
  • Provide 3rd line end user desktop support for EOC / WOC / Canada offices as well as support for other global systems and users using Service Now as an ITSM ticketing solution.
  • Perform SCCM Software packaging and Deployment, plus some manual software installs.
  • Provides incident and problem management for L3 related tickets.
  • Carry out remote end user 3rd line support.
  • Handle administration of our internal Office 365, Azure AD environments as well as other internal applications.
  • Escalate IT issues to various internal and external support teams where necessary.
  • Undertake small to medium sized IT projects such as rollouts and equipment installs.
  • Administration of Group Policy / AD / and some SCCM related tasks using PowerShell.
  • Document known issues into our shared knowledgebase.
  • Work on-call hours as and when required by the business.
  • Mentor junior members of the team and help them progress in gaining technical experience.
  • Approx 30% of your work will be working as resource on key projects and initiatives such as rollouts, upgrades of both hardware and software, process redesign, documentation etc.



MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY:

Additional qualifications may be specified and receive preference, depending upon the nature of the position.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in Information Technology Support sector with focus on Windows OS administration, Software deployments, SCCM (Software Distribution and some application packaging a plus), Powershell automation.
  • 3+ years of working in a 3rd line service desk environment in a senior capacity.
  • In depth knowledge of End User Computing architectures, management platforms and advanced troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading or being a part of key initiatives and projects related to rollouts extremely beneficial.
  • Citrix knowledge is a plus.


EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science or Business Management


COMPETENCIES: (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing):
  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with ability to deliver technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience working within clearly defined standards and adherence to quality SLA.
  • Prior mentorship and training of junior team members.
  • Possesses a willingness to learn and has a can-do attitude.
